“Sidebeards” or “sideburns” are an important element in complimenting the appearance of men. Men may grow a sidebeard for cultural purposes, latest trends, and/or personal preference. Sidebeard hair transplant is a procedure used to restore hair that has been lost due to trauma, burns, and stress.
Today’s preferred technique in restoring the hairs is the FUE method. This method is similar to a traditional hair transplant where a donor area is usually required. Grafts are extracted from the nape region, as the nape area results in a natural looking result.
Hair roots in the nape region are weak and rarely other donor regions can be selected. Lower and upper jaw, shoulder, surt, leg, thoracic donor regions are preferred.
The operation is conducted under local anaesthetic. Strong and healthy grafts are extracted from the donor area and implanted into the sidebeard area. No marks are left on the donor area.
