Embryo freezing and dissolving processes are now being carried out using vitrification (rapid freezing) technique, with the advancement of technology. Cryoprotectant materials are stored in liquid nitrogen at -196 ° C embryos.
The transfer time is subtracted and the inverse of the transactions is applied and solved. The embryos are generally frozen in the 3rd and 5th days in the center. If the quality of the frozen embryos is good, the rate of return to live and the chances of pregnancy are also increasing.
The embryos are in sufficient number and the embryos are frozen, even with the permission of the couple. In the first application, frozen embryos are used if pregnancy does not occur. The use of embryos by freezing and subsequent dissolution reduces the cost for couples. In addition, there is no need for long-term drug use. It also offers a chance of pregnancy close to the experiments carried out by the transfer of fresh embryos.
The egg quality deteriorates with the progress of age. It is possible to freeze the embryos beforehand and transfer them after a few years if desired. This practice is done with great care in our tube baby center in Cyprus.
How to Freeze?
As the ice cream liquids are made to increase in density, the water in the embryo is gradually taken and replaced with a substance that does not expand during freezing and does not cause the membrane to break down. The embryo is at a certain temperature and constantly giving the least amount of damage. At the end of the waiting period, the ice cream bar with the embryos or the tube is placed in the freezer. The quality and capacity of the device in which ice cream is made is important for a healthy freezing.
The freezing program is planned by the embryologist and the program is started after recording to the device. The temperature is gradually reduced to -30 ° C and then rapidly reduced to -150 ° C. Frozen embryos are placed in containers containing liquid nitrogen and stored at -180 ° C.
Decommissioning of orders
No device is used to dissolve the embryo. The liquids used during freezing are prepared in reverse order and the embryos are thawed. When the room is warmed, the embryos are taken in intense liquid; the waiting period is followed and the embryo body temperature is brought to 37 degrees. Afterwards, the germinated, moist, hot incubator embryos are transferred after the day or several days followed by selecting the quality ones.
